Treatments with fillers (also referred to as dermal fillers) are a great way to restore lost volume and smoothness of the hands. By truly understanding the detailed anatomy of the hand and the changes that effect us with age, we are able to expertly inject hyaluronic acid fillers to reverse volume loss to create an overall more youthful appearance.

Fillers consist of a naturally occurring substance (hyaluronic acid) that normally lies within the skin and helps to keep the skin hydrated and healthy looking. As our hands ages, as well as undergoing changes to the skin, we also experience loss of volume in the fat layer between the tendons as well. This combined effect leads to more prominent shadows and grooves that we associated with an older appearance. By expertly injecting hyaluronic acid fillers into the anatomical areas of volume loss, we are able to reverse the effect of these changes and as a result achieve natural-looking, rejuvenation of the hands.

Before carrying out the procedure we apply an anaesthetic cream onto the surface of the skin to numb the area and reduce any pain. A blunt cannulas is then used to expertly inject the hyaluronic acid fillers in to the area of volume loss in the hands, with minimal discomfort.
